At the recent green building materials industry development symposium held in Luoyang, Henan Province, Pan Aihua, deputy director of the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that as a basic requirement for optimizing the industrial structure, to promote industrial green, circular and low-carbon development, the building materials industry is We must vigorously develop the green building materials industry. The development of green building materials is an effective measure and way for the building materials industry to vigorously resolve excess capacity and prevent and control air pollution.


Green building materials refer to building material products that can reduce the consumption of natural resources and reduce the impact on the ecological environment during the entire life cycle, and have the characteristics of "energy saving, emission reduction, safety, convenience and recycling". For a long time, the building materials industry, as a large industrial energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission household in my country, has faced many pressures such as technological progress, energy saving and emission reduction, elimination of backwardness, and elimination of excess. The call for the development of green building materials has therefore continued to rise.


In 2003, China issued the "Green Building Action Plan", which clearly proposed that by 2015, a new green building of 1 billion square meters should be built, and an existing building of more than 600 million square meters should be rebuilt. Based on this calculation, at least 2 Trillions of green building materials consumption, which provides considerable market demand for the development of green building materials. Pan Aihua said that the "Green Building Action Plan" puts forward urgent and realistic requirements for green building materials, and also brings rare market opportunities for the transformation and upgrading of the building materials industry.


At present, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has established an inter-ministerial coordination mechanism for the promotion and application of green building materials with the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. At the same time, the technical requirements of the main varieties of green building materials are also being actively studied. On the basis of extensive research and discussion, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology selected energy-saving glass, ceramic thin bricks, water-saving sanitary ware, high-performance concrete, parts and components, green chemical building materials, green wall materials, and exterior wall insulation materials as the priority promotion varieties. In addition, in the county economy, green building materials are the current bright spot. Through the enthusiasm of local governments to develop green building materials, accelerate industrial agglomeration, and take a number of measures to promote the development of green building materials industry.


It is reported that the next step of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will be the "Green Building Materials Development Action Plan" and "Green Building Materials Evaluation Mark Management Measures" to formulate the first batch of promoted green building materials product technical requirements and carry out green evaluation work, release green building materials product catalog. Continue to strengthen cooperation with relevant departments and key provinces and regions, and support the technological progress and technological transformation of key enterprises.
